Ana Vásquez

Ana Vásquez is an Argentine dancer and teacher whose career in dance is marked by a passion for folklore roots and the exploration of bodily well-being. At a very young age, she obtained her degree as a Professor of Argentine Folk Dances, subsequently completing her academic studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Folklore (specializing in Folk Dances and Tango) from the prestigious Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA) in Buenos Aires.

As a dancer, she stood out in Argentine and Bolivian Folklore within established groups, performing on provincial, national, and international tours. Her extensive teaching experience includes her work as a professor and choreographer at the Municipal Dance School of Santa Cruz (Argentina), as well as her participation and speaking engagements at various international folk dance congresses.

Currently established in Belgium, Ana directs Andanza, a platform through which she carries out various artistic projects, workshops, and sociocultural activities. Her holistic vision of movement has led her to train as a Yoga Instructor, Pilates Professor, and facilitator in bodily therapies, Art Therapy, and Biodecoding. Furthermore, Ana possesses a profound vocation for inclusive dance, having undergone training in Dance for Older Adults and Wheelchair Dance. Currently, she continues to expand her education, studying Animation for Older Adults in Ghent.

During the current autumn season at Go Tango, you will find Ana teaching various activities related to Argentine folklore.
