LADIES LEADING WORKSHOP – NOVEMBER 2024

EXPLORING THE LEADER ROLE

This is a workshop for tango dancers who wish to explore the leader’s role through connection with the other and the dialogue between bodies or for dancers that are seeking a more active role as followers.

In this opportunity Flávia Morari & Eva Icikson will guide us to explore the role of the leader considering our starting point as followers dancers.

We’ll explore practical tools to better understand leading, break down common misconceptions, and encourage female dancers to feel more confident in taking the lead. The workshop will also cover tips on sequences and steps to enhance your skills.

Highlights of this workshop:

– Open level with prior experience. We recommend at least 6 months to 1 year of active Tango dancing.

– No partner required! Solo dancers are welcome.

–Small group, limited spots—register early to secure your place.

– After the workshop: Join us for a cozy coffee and cake gathering. More details will be shared upon registration.

Marina Teves and Rodrigo Videla are a renowned tango duo celebrated for their elegance, connection, and technical precision. With over a decade of experience dancing together, they merge traditional tango with a modern, creative flair.

In Buenos Aires, they’ve achieved numerous accolades, including placing 3rd in Vals at the Buenos Aires City Dance Championship (2024) and wining the 5th place of the World Tango Championship (2022). They’ve also performed at iconic milongas like La Baldosa and Salón Canning.

Internationally, Marina and Rodrigo have taught at prestigious festivals. Their teaching and performances have taken them across Europe, Asia, and North America, including residencies and workshops in Canada, South Korea, and Russia.

10:30hs to 12:30hs: Followers workshop: “Embellishments with purpose: adding personal style” @ Fox Fit.

Private lessons: Marina & Rodrigo will be available for private lessons from December 13th to 16th. Contact us privately to book your spot! Fee: 80EUR p/hour for a single dancers or a couple.
